Information About the Department of Treasury and IRS During the Shutdown

In light of the lapse in federal funding, the Department of the Treasury has implemented its Lapse in Appropriations Contingency Plans. Please be aware that, during a lapse in appropriations, information on the Treasury’s website may not be up to date, transactions submitted via the website may not be processed, and Treasury personnel may not be able to respond to questions or requests. Once funding has been restored and the government shutdown is over, the Department of the Treasury will work to restore regular service as soon as possible.
