Which issues will your incapacitated client face when the unexpected happens while traveling or living abroad? Will your client’s powers of attorney work abroad? This dynamic session will explore the challenges of becoming incapable of managing property and personal care for the global citizen (or world traveler). It first presents a jurisdictional survey of Swiss, English and Florida incapacity law followed by a case study and live role-play of the dilemma faced by a U.S. expat living in London U.K. after a catastrophic ski accident in Switzerland.
