Buy-sell agreements can be a quintessential part of business succession planning. But funding a redemption with life insurance could be an issue, especially after the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Connelly. This program will address best practices for negotiating and drafting buy-sell agreements as well as some of the biggest traps for the unwary. In addition to practical and tax considerations, the panel also will discuss the importance of focusing on family governance to help preserve a family’s legacy.
