The Uniform Directed Trust Act is now five years old with 16 jurisdictions enacting it. This panel discusses the latest lay of the land for directed trusts from the perspectives of trustee, planner and litigator. The panel reviewed the risks of taking direction from third-party investment and distribution directing trustees and their practical experiences with this very popular planning technique.
